Praised for her exceptional vocal virtuosity, ranging to Bb above hight C, coloratura soprano Cherise Lukow has been labeled as one to watch.  Cherise completed a Bachelor degree from the UT Sarah and Ernest Butler School of Music.  Now living in Paris, she has been heard with Opera du Perigord as Eurydice in Orphee aux Enfers, Gabrielle in La Vie Parisienne, and Olympia in Les Contes d'Hoffman.  Founder of the FAVA festival, William Lewis, described her interpretation of Olympia: “Cherise Lukow, whose exceptional beauty; vocal stamina and technical security merit her the doll incarnate.”


She has performed as a FAVA guest artist for the city of Paris at various venues, including l'Hôtel de Ville de Paris and la Residence de l'Ambassadeur des Etats-Unis.  Other FAVA engagements include a concert in honor of the French Ambassador to the US, Pierre Vimont, and as a guest artist for the Consulat général de France à Houston. Cherise was a prizewinner in FAVA’s Grands Concours de Chant.








Cherise received the first prize mention marked “à l’unanimité avec les félicitations du jury” at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris.  She was selected by l'ENMP to interpret the role Despina in a Master Class of Così Fan Tutte presented by Janine Reiss.  Other engagements include Master Classes with renowned artists Teresa Berganza and Inva Mula.  Recently, Cherise made a guest appearance on the Blabla Wilson TV show.



In Mexico she performed with La Orquesta Sinfónica del Estado de México, where she received rave reviews for her interpretation of Mozart's Queen of the Night.  In Salzburg, she performed with the AAMA the roles Papagena (Die Zauberflöte) and Silbertöne (Der Schauspieldirektor).  Her repertoire: Queen of the Night, Silbertöne, Olympia, Lakmé, Titania, Blondchen, Zerbinetta and Cunegonde.
